Clearly Not the One

I hope you don’t think I’m slacking (all two of you). I really am writing (ask Katie!) and working my butt off to get more songs completed, buttt a few things have come up to hinder my progress. I wrote a new song this week, but I lost my voice due to some sort of illness that will not leave me alone and I really didn’t want to post another song with no vocals that is supposed to have them. LUCKILY, last Monday I finally recorded vocals for a song I posted a month or so ago (then called Lover Lover Lover, now called Clearly Not the One). Phew.

I wrote the majority of the lyrics for this song a few years ago, when one of my best friends got mega-dumped after a 3ish year relationship. Recording the vocals from this was somewhat a challenge, as I’m not used to singing so fast, but it was obviously fun, considering all the “HIP”s, “HEY”s and “SHA”s (which are all dedicated to Ryan).
